Pablo Mari has joined Arsenal from Flamengo on loan with an option to buy permanently.
With the rising defensive problems for Arsenal, losing Mustafi to injury, Callum Chambers out with injury and David Luiz out with a red card, the signing of Mari would come as a big option for Mik Arteta.
The deal for the Spanish is worth £12m, with Gunners paying £4m up front and an option to buy permanently for a fee worth £8m.
Speaking to the Arsenal website, the 26-year-old said;
“When I spoke to my agent, it was a big thing that Arsenal were interested in me,”
“This is one of the best clubs in the world, so I’m absolutely delighted to be joining. I’m really looking forward to playing in this jersey and helping my team.
