Nantes new signing, Moses Simon started his football career with the Golden Boot Soccer Academy in Jos.

He made his European journey to Ajax where he failed to be awarded a contract due to a slag in form.

Similarly, in Slovakia, his debut for Trencin came in January 2014, before moving to Gent in Belgium.

In Gent, he was able to win the Belgian First Division A and the Belgian Super Cup.

After moving to Spain, his period of play saw him struggle for game time, leading him to push for a loan.

Due to his struggles, Nantes secured him on a temporary deal from Levante with an option to buy.

In an incredible form in Nantes, he contributed nine goals and eight assists in 30 appearances, helping them to finish 13th in the table.

In a statement, Nantes said it took up “the option to sign him after he impressed on a season’s loan from Levante.

Equally important, the financial aspect of his contract is yet to be revealed.

Reports from the media has it that Nantes paid £5 million for the signature of the 24 years old playmaker.

His contract is expected to start on July 1st and run through 2024.

Simon claims playing in la liga was difficult for him, with his manager fond of using the Spanish language.

“At levante, I did not play very well due to some circumstances with the coach”.

“In spain, the coach only spoke Spanish and I needed a translator”. Simon said.

“It is easier to play in france, I understand the language more and communication is very good with the coach”.

“I am enjoying my football now. The most important thing is to play. Not to sit on the bench”.

“To have the freedom to play, have the freedom to speak and to do what you know how to do best”.

Moses Simon’s versatility and skillful play registers him in the hearts of Nantes fans.

In addition, due to his fine form, Moses Simon was voted as Nantes Best Player of the season.

Also, he’s nominated for the award of “Best African Player in the French Ligue 1” alongside fellow Nigerian Victor Osimhen.
