Sane signs for Bayern

German youngster Leroy Sane has completed his move to the German Champions.

The young speedster has finally made the move after almost two years in the works.

The 24 year old had since refused to sign the contract offers from club Manchester City.

Making for rumors about him being homesick to spread.

Sane has appeared minimally this season due to injuries making only two competitive outings.

the German suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the Community Shield win over Liverpool.

He signs a year contract with the Bavarians reportedly worth about £20m per year.

Sane joined City from German club Schalke in 2016 for £37m and has been a key cog for Guardiola’s side since then.

City coach has since said that he hoped Leroy would stay at the the Etihad but understands that wanted a new challenge.

“We wish Leroy all the best in this new chapter of his career,” said City manager Pep Guardiola.

“Leroy has been part of one of the most special periods in this club’s history and he leaves with the best wishes of everyone here at Manchester City.”

Farewell Message

Sane has posted on social media in a farewell message to the Blues: “Thanks so much for the great time and all the support over the last 4 years.

“It has been a really intense and successful time which I surely won’t forget.

“We won many games, scored a ton of goals, broke a couple of records and celebrated 7 trophies together.

“Thanks to all the fans, to the staff and to my team-mates! I will always remember this time with great joy and pride.

“Also thanks to my coach who has made me a better player and has a large share of my PFA Young Player of the Year award in 2018.

“I’ve learned a lot and I’m very proud to have been part of this journey.”

Sane scored 39 goals in 135 appearances for the Citizens assisting 45 times.

The 24-year old has been handed the number 10 shirt at Bayern, worn by on loan man Philippe Coutinho.
