German Champions Bayern Munich have learnt their fate for Bundesliga next season after the framework for next season was released on Friday.
The new season will start in mid September after the DFB confirmed in a stement on Friday.
New seasons normally start middle of August but have had to be adjusted because of the pandemic.
Many of the big leagues will be ending in July with most big teams still in the Champions League.
Calendar Framework
The DFB have confirmed that next season will begin on the 11th of September.
German football will start with a weekend of DFB Pokal which is the League Cup.
Bundesliga will then start a week later on the 18th of September 2020.
All other leagues in German football will begin on the 18th of September.
German Super Cup which is originally the season opener has been shifted to the 30th of September, 2020.
The year 2020 ends with cup ties in form of the DFB Pokal second round.
The second round of the DFB Pokal will be between 22-23 December.
The final league games of the year will be a week earlier between the 14th and 16th of December.
After the second round of the DFB Pokal German football will go on a short winter break.
Bundesliga will then resume on the 15th of January 2021 while Bundesliga 2 will restart one week later.
For the first time the DFB Cup semi finals will take place on a weekend.
As a result there will not be Bundesliga games the weekend of 1st and 2nd May.
Bundesliga 2020/2021 will end on the 15th of May 2021 while Bundesliga 2 will conclude on the 16th of May.
The 2020/2021 season will come to a conclusion with the DFB Cup Final on the 22nd May, 2021 in Olympiastadion in Berlin.
