Miami Heat in the early hours of the day defeated Lebron James led Lakers to reduce the series deficit to 3-2 and keep the hope of winning the NBA Finals.
In a surprising result for many, Jimmy Butler ruined the perfect story for the city of Los Angeles by winning 111-108 even after a heroic performance by LeBron James.
James finished with a game high 40 points on an efficient 15-21 FG but it was not enough to crown the Lakers champions for the first time in almost a decade.
With Miami’s season on the line Jimmy Butler arose finishing with another triple double. He finished with 35 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.
Butler is now the second player in history to post multiple 30 point triple doubles in the same Finals series.
Coincidentally, the other player is LeBron James in the 2015 championship Finals against Stephen Curry led Golden State Warriors.

Even if Jimmy Butler was the head architect of this game 5 win in the Lakers soil, it was the other Heat players who made it possible for the victory.
Duncan Robinson finished with 26 points for Miami after making seven 3 pointers. He set a new record for 3’s made by an undrafted player in an NBA Finals game.
Kendrick Nunn added another 14 points, half fit Bam Adebayo had 13 points while Herro and Crowder got 12 and 11 points respectively.
Anthony Davis is a perfect 25 for 25 from the free throw line in the NBA Finals. He went 8-8 in game 5.
Jimmy Butler has improved the line after going 84.8% in the first three rounds of the playoffs. He has now gone 92.9% in the first 5 games of the Final series.
